In the middle part of the stream table, there is a water lock. This system has been used for hundreds of years to transport ships along rivers and waterways with different water heights.
In this river the speed of stream is relatively steady. The speed depends on the difference in height of the starting point and the ending point of the river, called the fall. The bigger the fall is, the faster the water will stream. By transforming the riverbed, the stream of a river could be manipulated.
